Lady’s Coco Classic is looking for candidates to participate in the love of cooking Louisiana Seafood with the gratitude to help our children with Autism and sensory needs. Get their voices heard with your help by supporting schools, teachers, and individuals in the Tri Parish area.

Our Louisiana Seafood Cook-off is a People’s Choice Award contest. It will be judged based on the taste buds of attendees who will have the opportunity to sample your dish. Our additional competition, best decorated, will be judged based upon our panel of judges.

Competition Fees

Entry fee for Contestants:
$50.00

Entry Fee for Attendees:
All you can eat seafood for $20 (Wristband)

Competition Rules and Information

Space:

  • Each contestant will be provided with serving containers, spoons/forks, and napkins.
  • Spaces will be a maximum space size of 10ft x 10ft. 110 Volts plugs will be provided.

Rules:

There will be no refunds or reimbursements for any team found violating any of the rules below.
  1. To be a candidate in the event, the name of the dish must be turned into the Lady’s Coco Classic no later than July 15, 2026. If sent in sooner, it will greatly help with advertisement of your dish and company on social media.
  2. Candidates should be prepared to serve at least 250 sample-sized seafood dishes. Serving will begin at 4:00 pm on July 18, 2026. (Prepping and Cooking may be done on or off-site.)
  3. The main ingredient of the sample size must be Louisiana seafood (Shrimp, Crab, Oysters, or Fish)
  4. Your dish can ONLY HAVE ONE SEAFOOD choice per dish. It’s the chef’s choice of what kind of Louisiana seafood and how to cook it. (i.e. grilled, fried, pan-fried, or as a cold appetizer) Prepare 250 servings minimum. (You must use bottled water for adding water to your dish- no hose water.) **If you have a raw oyster dish, please make a sign stating the risk of raw oyster consumption.**
  5. All teams are expected to maintain their cooking sites in an orderly and clean manner and to use good sanitary practices during the preparation, cooking, and judging process (serving). Sanitary gloves are always required while handling food. Failure to use sanitary gloves may result in disqualification. Teams are responsible for cleaning their sites once the competition has ended. Water hoses
    can be used for cleanup. Any trash or leftover items must be picked up and disposed of properly.
  6. All federal, state, and local food safety rules and regulations must always be followed.
  7. There will be no refunds or reimbursements for any team found in the violation.
  8. Contestants will serve wristband customers only. The collecting of tickets to determine People’s Choice Winners will start at 7:30 pm. Tickets will be delivered to the Judge’s station to be counted.
  9. Contestants are encouraged to continue serving after tickets are collected. We ask to continue only serving wristband customers as this is a fundraiser.
